Samsung announces Windows 8 ATIV range

They werent done with just a new Note and Camera, here are some new Windows 8 products.

We have been waiting for manufacturers to start revealing their Windows 8 products and finally Samsung have delivered.

The ATIV range opens with the smart PC. running Windows 8 this laptop is actually a tablet with a keyboard dock. It features a full mode shift capability which adjusts its usage method based on whether it is docked or not. So, a full touchscreen device with an S-Pen for dictation and controls.

The ATIV smart PC has an 11.5inch display, 2GB RAM, up to 128GB of storage and 14hrs battery life (this isnt confirmed while in dock mode or not). The tablet is 9.9mm thin or 19.9 while in the dock (closed). The tablet weighs 750g or 1.45kg with the dock. Samsung is also releasing a smart PC Pro with more power yet similar features.

Further to this, some JUST want the tablet, so welcome the ATIV Tab

This tablet is only 8.9mm thin, runs Windows RT and weighs only 570g. With MS Office pre-installed it allows you to remain productive despite being away from your PC. With a 8200mAh battery it should provide plenty of battery life but exactly how long is yet to be seen. Also, the Tab features something people have wanted for a long time in a tablet, Full size USB and mini HDMI port. USB has huge potential, external keyboard/mouse, storage and more. The mini HDMI could mean working on a larger screen while only carrying a tablet.

Ofcourse, to complete the line up is a new smartphone running Windows 8 also. Featuring a 4.8inch display and only 8.7mm thin the device actually looks very nice. When combined with other Windows 8 devices you can really see how this ecosystem will work and provide a unified experience. With SkyDrive storage you can work on the same file from any device at any time.

The Series 9 Notebook was also revealed, I tuned out though.
